Area Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.
Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with swastikas, they announced in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.
The substance had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then discovered many other marked automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.
Law enforcement report preliminary tests indicate the liquid was most likely blood from a person.
"At present there remains no clue as to its source; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.
Local authorities announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for tips.
An important representative said the attack rendered him stunned and required to be resolved promptly.
"This event hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
