Fans Call for Arrest of Individual Who Seized Ariana Grande
Loyal followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.
A widely shared clip reveals the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by event staff.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.
Pattern of Incidents
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter.
"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Safety
Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.
A number of fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.
