Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The influential video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
